Afloat
Afloat is a tactical tower defense game where you build a nature-powered defense force against waves of creeping invaders trying to harm the ecosystem
Drag troops onto the battlefield and watch them fight for you — ants dash into enemies, mantises leap from afar, koi fish fire laser beams, and axolotls bounce water balls down the path. With land troops, water troops, and everything in between, building the right formation is key.
Survive all 50 waves of escalating threats — from mosquitoes and wasps to armored alligators — using gold earned from each kill to upgrade your units and unlock powerful evolutions. Every troop can evolve into a stronger form, transforming the battlefield with a cinematic cutscene.
Features:
- 10+ unique troops with distinct attack styles — melee, ranged, splash, and swarm
- Deep upgrade and evolution system with branching troop progression
- Status effects: burn, poison, freeze, stun, and more
- Ally synergy bonuses — troops fight harder near their own kind
- 50 waves of hand-crafted enemy waves with armored and boss-tier enemies
- 2x speed mode for when you're feeling confident

We just played this for 40 minutes straight. Fantastic stuff. Oddly mesmerising. It eventually forced me to leave my perfect world, my sanctuary, my pond. I will miss it forever. My walls of poison frogs and laser shooting koi. Heaven. Thanks for a fantastic 40 mins, like unironically great fun.
Thanks a lot! We plan to implement infinite waves with ridiculous scaling after wave 50.... ;)
